Fed: Beattie backs Beazley

Queensland Premier PETER BEATTIE says Australians should rally behind KIM BEAZLEY ..

despite a poll showing JULIA GILLARD is the preferred Labor leader.

The latest Roy Morgan Poll has found 31 per cent of all voters and 29 per cent of Labor
voters prefer Ms GILLARD as leader.

And .. according to the poll .. with Mr BEAZLEY removed from consideration .. support
for the Opposition's health spokeswoman would rise to 35 per cent of all voters and 34
per cent of ALP voters.

But Mr BEATTIE's dismissed the findings and says there isn't a leadership challenge.
