Fed: Adults think teens are materialistic: Newspoll

A new poll shows Australia's five million teenagers are too materialistic, take too
much for granted and don't show enough respect to their parents.

The Newspoll, published in today's Daily Telegraph, found negative sentiment towards
today's teenagers is widespread although most adults recognised pressure on teens to succeed
is greater than ever.

Almost two-thirds of the 1,200 adults interviewed say teenagers tend to think too much
about themselves and 54 per cent say they didn't think about the future enough.
